Experience Overview
This short safari is for travellers who want to experience the Serengeti itself rather than a nearby park. The Serengeti is a long way from Arusha, so the first day is a full journey across the Ngorongoro highlands and down onto the plains, with game viewing as soon as you pass the Naabi Hill gate. Travelling by light aircraft instead can be arranged if you prefer more time in the park.
You spend the night in a camp or lodge in the central Serengeti, where the Seronera River keeps wildlife in the area all year. After an early morning game drive, when the big cats are most active, you head back to Arusha. Two days is short for the Serengeti, so if you can add a night, it is worth it.

Day 1 · Serengeti National Park
An early start from Arusha, driving through Mto wa Mbu and Karatu and over the Ngorongoro highlands, with a stop at the crater viewpoint. Enter the Serengeti at Naabi Hill and game drive across the plains to the Seronera valley, arriving at your camp in time for dinner.
Day 2 · Arusha
A sunrise game drive in the Seronera valley, when lions and leopards are most active, then breakfast at camp. Drive back through the Ngorongoro highlands with game viewing on the way out of the park, arriving in Arusha in the evening.
