This short safari focuses on the two places most visitors come to Tanzania to see. The first day takes you across the Ngorongoro highlands and down onto the endless plains of the Serengeti, where your afternoon game drive in the central Seronera valley often brings lions, cheetahs and leopards resting in the acacias. You stay the night inside the park.
After a morning game drive you return to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and spend the night near the crater rim. On the final day you descend to the crater floor for the densest concentration of wildlife on the circuit, including black rhino, before driving back to Arusha.

Itinerary

Day 1 · Serengeti National Park
An early start from Arusha, driving through Karatu and over the Ngorongoro highlands with a stop at the crater viewpoint. Enter the Serengeti at Naabi Hill and game drive across the plains to the Seronera valley, arriving at your camp inside the park in the evening.
Day 2 · Ngorongoro Crater
A sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, then breakfast and a slow drive out of the park with game viewing on the way. In the afternoon, climb back into the Ngorongoro highlands and overnight near the crater rim, where evenings are cool.
Day 3 · Arusha
Descend early to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a game drive among lions, buffalo, zebras, hippos and flamingos, looking for black rhino. After a picnic lunch, climb out of the crater and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
